FAQS

Find quick answers to your questions about our wines, from ordering to enjoying the perfect Tej experience.

What is Tej?
Tej is an honey wine made from water, honey and traditionally in Ethiopia made with gesho (a type of buckthorn leaf native to Ethiopia). Its unique blend of sweetness and spice offers a one-of-a-kind drinking experience.
What does your wine taste like?
Our tej has a smooth, golden hue and offers a balanced flavor profile—sweet honey notes complemented by a subtle earthiness from the hops. Each sip carries a hint of tradition and craft.
Do you offer different varieties or flavors of Tej?
We currently offer Axum and Saba Tej, each showcasing a unique honey profile that delivers distinct flavor experiences. In the future, we plan to expand our selection with additional styles, including fruit-infused, coffee-inspired, and sparkling Tejs.
Is your wine sustainably produced?
Yes, sustainability is at the core of our process. We source our honey from a trusted purveyor who adheres to eco-friendly practices, and we are dedicated to supporting their communities. Our Tejs are crafted using organic, single-source honey, meaning all the honey for each Tej comes from a single farm. This ensures both consistency in flavor and the highest quality in every bottle.
